Laos targets removal of UXO from over 90k hectares

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The government has set a target to remove and destroy unexploded ordnance on 93,362 hectares of land, of which 9,179 hectares has already been cleared.

The target was reported on Friday at a press conference held to mark the 9th anniversary on August 1 of the coming into force of the Convention on Cluster Munitions.
